[Photos] Shun Cultism And Become Future Leaders – NDDC Tells Akwa Ibom State Secondary Students

It is no longer news that Restiveness and Cultism has become commonplace among the  Students of today, destroying lives and robbing the society of its future leaders.

 

Inline with bringing an end to this menace, a one day Workshop/Seminar on Cultism was held in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital on Tuesday, 30th of October 2018 with the Theme; “Stemming the Tide of Cultism in Secondary Schools in Akwa Ibom State.”

 

Speaking at the event, the programme coordinator Mr. Patrick Usen said, the purpose of the program was to enlighten students on the need to shun cultism and other social vices to enable them become useful citizens to their parents and the society at large.

 

Mr Patrick Usen expressed appreciation to the NDDC and Managing Director, Dr. Obong Nsima Ekere for sponsoring the event, as an Investment in the youths is an Investment in the Future of the State.

 

In attendance were students and teachers from Public/ Private schools in Akwa Ibom State.

 

The event was put together by the Pilars of Light Initiative (NGO) in partnership with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
