NEMA Donates Relief Materials To Flood Affected Part Of ONELGA

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has donated some relief materials to some flood affected parts of ONELGA and promises to do more.

Following series of Needs Assessment visits carried out by the National Emergency Management Agency and the Ogba Egbema Ndoni Local Government Area Council on flood affected communities in parts of ONELGA, the National Emergency Management Agency through the ONELGA Council yesterday distributed Relief Materials ranging from Temporary Tents, Mosquito Nets, Foams, Wrappers, Bathing Buckets, Household Utensils etc to some flood ravaged communities of Ase Azaga, Isukwa & Agwe Obodo in Ndoni District, all of Ogba Egbema Ndoni Local Government Area.

 

Delivering the Relief Materials on behalf of NEMA, Team Leader; Mr. Raphael Abam expressed sadness over the incident, while re assuring the people of Governments continual support in trying times like this.

 

He said their visit became imperative upon the numerous “Flood Alerts” received from the ONELGA Local Government Area Chairman and Council.

 

He confirmed that more Relief Materials would be delivered to communities in Ogba and Egbema in the days to come.

 

The ONELGA Council Chairman; Chief(Amb) Odili Victor Ifeanyi while addressing community Leaders at Ndoni, thanked them for their peaceful co existence and patriotism during this time, he assured them of the unflinching support of the Local Government Area.
