Godswill Akpabio, Minority Leader of the Senate, is on the verge of formally defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This is according to Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transport and Director-General of President Mohammed Buhari’s campaign organization.
“I saw him and he confirmed but I don’t know about date,” Amaechi said by text when answering an inquiry by SaharaReporters.
Akpabio, a two-time former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, is a leader in the South-South caucus of the party.
