Founder and president of foremost Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign support group, Hajia Hassana Abubakar has expressed pleasure in the level of support her movement, Fully and Truly Atikulated has gained since 2015. He enjoined other groups to continue on the same commitments by going deeper into the wards to ensure that the presidential aspiration of His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is made present with the young and old across Nigeria.
Hajia Hassana made this expression yesterday at the Atiku Campaign Office during one of her usual visits in line with making credible contributions towards ensuring a robust campaign for His Excellency. In her words, “I am deeply happy that many support groups are springing up in favour of our principal, Atiku Abubakar. This shows how much he is loved across the country. With my movement, Fully and Truly Atikulated which was launched in 2015, I have had firsthand experience with the people. I can confidently tell you that they want to change this government, they want a government that will fully and truly represent them. They have expressed support for no other presidential aspirant much as they are doing today for Atiku. I can liken what is happening now to what we saw in 1992/1993 when Nigerians massively mobilized for M. K. O. Abiola against the then Head of State, General Sani Abacha.”
She enjoined other support groups to intensify the call for their members to get their PVCs. “You know there is much more to mobilization for an election. Much as bringing the people together is very important, it is of higher importance to ensure that they have their Permanent Voter’s Cards, that is the PVC. Without the PVC, they won’t be able to do the job of voting which is the primary reason of coming together as a group.”
Hajia Hassana used the opportunity to reach out to PDP delegates, seeking their support in seeing that Atiku secures the PDP’s presidential ticket. “So far, I am impressed with the great commitment within the PDP. You read about the coalition they have entered with the other 30 political parties. They are doing well for our democracy. It will be a great election next year and I encourage the delegates to vote in their conscience. Nigerians want Atiku to be president in 2019. The are waiting for the primary election to be conducted so he can emerge the parties presidential candidate so they can vote for him in their great numbers. I know the party will meet the need of Nigerians by ensuring that Atiku wins the ticket.” She concluded.
