Neymar da Silva Santos Junior, Popularly Known as Neymar, Reveals his Fears Going to this Year’s World Cup.
Paris Saint Germain superstar Neymar fears he might not be at his best in Russia due to the foot injury he suffered earlier this year. The 26-year-old winger has not featured for either Brazil or PSG since he broke his toe in his side’s 3-0 victory over Marseille in a cup game back in February.
Though, he feels he will be fit for his side’s World Cup opener against Switzerland on June 17, he has now casted doubts over his mental state following the injury. Speaking on the YouTube channel of Brazil legend Zico, Neymar said he will work hard to get rid of the fear so as to be able to inspire his teammates to victory at the global championship; “Everything’s going well, thank God, but there’s always this fear when you come back. I need to get rid of that fear as soon as possible to arrive at the World Cup.”
